My Favourite Products – For Oily Skin

My two favourite skincare products at the moment are from the same brand, Clean & Clear.

The thing that I think makes them so good, is they both contain Salicylic Acid.
Salicylic Acid works as an anti-inflammatory to reduce the size of spots and the redness of them too.
This Acid works deeper into more layers of the skin, so it can prevent future spots from happening.

Since using these two products, I have noticed how much clearer my skin is. Now I get an occasional spot, and they don’t last anywhere near as long as they used to (literally 3 days maximum).

I have found that not only is my skin clearer, but my skin is also less oily. I thought that oily skin was just something I needed to embrace because it wasn’t going anywhere, but it is so much better since using these products. I use the same daytime moisturiser, the same everyday makeup, and at the end of the day, my skin is less oily.

I use the Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub after taking my makeup off in the evening and then use the Dual Action Moisturiser as my nighttime moisturiser. Both products are the Oil Free versions.

My reason for writing this isn’t what you’d expect, these products were bought because I was considering buying a high-end 3 Step Skincare Treatment and I was scared! The products were so expensive, would last 6-8 weeks and then I’d need to spend that amount again. And it put me off! I didn’t want to commit myself to that spending on a regular basis. And there were no guarantees that the products would work on my skin. I also have really sensitive skin and so there was no guarantee that this product wouldn’t cause an allergic reaction. Basically, my cons list was very high, and my pros list was all hypotheticals. So I did a Google Search for skincare that uses Salicylic Acid and these Clean & Clear products came up. And I am so pleased that I didn’t choose the high-end brand in the end!

Just because something has a particular brand, label, or price, it doesn’t mean it will do what you want. Sometimes, looking for what the product contains, is the better way to choose. And save yourself money at the same time!

Love,

Laurie
