So hubby and I have decided to go back to the place we stayed on our honeymoon, in the lead up to Christmas. I am so excited to visit the area again, but because it will be at Christmas time, it will be so lovely to visit when the Christmas Market and Lights will be on. We have sooo many meals out and activities planned but will only be away for 3 days so need to try and pack it all in to a limited amount of time! Because of this, I want to keep my travel makeup to an appropriate size considering the length of time we will be going for, and as few items as possible so I have more room in my bags for treats and presents.
The thing that I knew I wanted to pack was an eyeshadow palette. I got this one as a free gift when I spent over a certain amount on Sleek products and it’s perfect to take away with me. It’s full of neutrals and some shimmers so I’m sure it will work for whatever look I decide to do that day! The palette is absolutely tiny so it’s perfect for travelling with!
The next thing I knew I wanted to pack was my usual makeup. This consists of the following a NYX Blush in the shade Bitten, Collection Contour Kit in the sahde Light, Barry M Foundation in the shade Porcelain, Collection Concealer in the shade Fair, Rimmel Powder in the shade Peach Glow and The Body Shop Setting Spray. Each of these products are perfect for everyday wear. And with the eyeshadow palette, I can make my makeup more everyday, or more glam if we want to treat ourselves to a meal/night out.
So for my eyes, eyebrows and lips, I am going to keep it really simple and only take one of each product. I only have one brow product because it’s amazing! I use the NYX Microbrow Pencil in the shade Auburn which matches my hair perfectly. And then a Rimmel Eyeliner in Noir and a The Lash Hero Body Shop Mascara in Black. So for my lips I am just going to take a lipgloss, it’s Angel Food Cake by NYX and it’s the exact amount of colour I would want to wear all day.
I cannot explain how excited I am to revisit where we stayed. We are staying in the same AirBnB apartment so know exactly what to expect. We didn’t want to spend a load of money on our honeymoon. Partly because my brother and his wife went to Bali two years ago for theirs and he got Denges Fever so they didn’t do half what they wanted. And the other reason was because I wanted to be able to revisit where we stayed. It’s about a 3 hour drive away from where we live so it’s far enough but not too far. And I cannot wait!
