Review: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Volume 4

So spoiler alert: I honestly feel so incredibly happy with this purchase.

About a month ago, I picked up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Volume 4 and it is amazing!

The palette itself is so well designed for someone with pale skin. Which is me! But as a downside, for anyone with tan to medium skin, or deep skin, I don’t think this will work as well on your skin. Whilst the products are pigmented on my skin, I have a feeling that someone with more tanned skin will have to use more product to build up that pigmentation.

Also, the palette is the size of the products. For example, I can just about get a dense bronzer brush into the bronzer, but it’s tricky to not get one of the other products too. So that’s something to bare in mind. But using a different brush isn’t the worst downside.

Something I absolutely love is the glow it gives my skin. As someone with oily skin, I tend to shy away from glittery products. But none of these are glittery. Somehow they add a sheen to my skin. With no glitter. It’s amazing.

Given Hourglass’ reputation (and price tag) I expected this palette to be good, but I haven’t used any of my other blushes, bronzers, highlighters or setting powders since I bought this.

Love,

Laurie
